Financial Coach

I have felt a calling to financial planning since high school when an inspiring class lecture set me on this path.  I took financial counseling classes at Iowa State University, worked at a bank, then as an Americorps VISTA volunteer developing financial planning curriculum and a savings product for a credit union.  For twelve years, I worked in a financial planning office taking care of client accounts behind the scenes while completing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) requirements.

I love to think and talk about money!  When I read or hear about events  like a house fire, I wonder if they have homeowners insurance. When hearing about windfalls, I hope individuals and their families have good counsel.  I want everyone to be successful at whatever income they may be working with. I am able to share my passion for financial planning as a financial coach with Fiscal Fitness Clubs.

"I love the relief clients feel when they know they have resources and a plan to achieve their goals."

Singing once a week (or more) with my a’capella group Choice City Singers!  Watching my boys grow up.  Traveling with my husband, even if it’s to the local KOA for a break.
